Basic steps |

Roughly cut the sections apart first, then you will
have more space for fine cutting without fear of damaging other
sections. |

Cut along the outer line to make gluing more accurate. |
|
Identify the piece on the back of the paper to avoid confusion. |

Cutting straight lines |
|
Use a cutting knife for straight lines unless the line is very
short. |
|
For cutting long straight lines, it is best to also use a steel
ruler. |
|
With a sharp blade and the appropriate pressure, use only one
cut for each line. |

Cutting curves |
|
It is easier to cut curves with a pair of scissors. |
|
The hand with the scissors should stay still, while using the
other hand to rotate the paper along the curve. This avoids accidentally
cutting your fingers. |
